Imagine a skyscraper bustling with life\u2014except this one is made of wood, leaves, and roots, reaching high into the sky: a living, breathing tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trees are nature\u2019s incredible apartment complexes, sheltering countless creatures in every branch, crevice, and root. Birds build nests among the leaves, squirrels dart through the branches, insects find refuge in the bark, and fungi thrive underground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even fallen trees continue to support life, becoming homes for beetles, moss, and fungi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneath the surface, tree roots connect with fungi in a hidden network that shares nutrients and sustains entire forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From canopy to roots, trees nurture a delicate web of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As early as 1973, Sunder Lal Bahuguna ji started the Chipko Andolan in Uttarakhand to stop the felling of forest trees. At The Heritage School North Campus, one of the best CBSE Co-ed School in Dehradun, students learn to appreciate trees and often hug them with love and gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The poet Joyce Kilmer wrote, \u201cI think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.\u201d This is evident on our campus where the towering Silver Oaks befriend the joyful Jacaranda trees and the breeze carries the freshness of the Neem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trees are not just silent witnesses of time\u2014they are the living foundation of life itself. Protecting them is no longer a choice but a responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we save trees, we save countless lives, including our own, so hug a tree when you see one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
